This is a friendly society which welcomes new members irrespective of where they live. Our members range from beginners, who are just starting out, through to those with considerable observing experience. Everyone is welcome.

We are affiliated to the Federation of Astronomical Societies and are members of SAGAS, the Southern Area Group of Astronomical Societies.

We meet in Classrooms IL5/6 at Uplands Community College, Wadhurst. Continue down the access road from the main entrance and go through the double doors in the blue wall ahead of you. We will use the door into IL5 which is on your left a little way along the corridor. Occassionally we will meet in the Drama Studio if the classrooms are in use. The Drama Studio is the first building on your left as you enter the College site.

MEETINGS are usually held on the third Wednesday of the month (please check dates below) in either classrooms IL5/6 or the Drama Studio, Uplands Community College, Lower High Street, Wadhurst, TN5 6AZ. The meeting begins at 19.30 although members and visitors are invited to arrive anytime after 19.00 as this is a good time to exchange ideas and discuss problems. Everyone is welcome but non-members are asked if they would be kind enough to contribute £3 towards costs.
